Rockin Photos is located in the NE Houston area, and is owned and operated by me, Jerry Bishop. I've been doing photography professionally since 1980. And I've been interested in photography since a very early age. In high school I was in the photography club for 3 years, serving as president of the photography club for two years, and was the official photographer for the school band, all sports activities, and was one of the 4 photographers for the school newspaper and yearbook. I was in many out of school competitions and placed first and best of show in several of these competitions in the South Louisiana area. After high school, I attended Louisiana State University and Nicholls State University studying Photojournalism. While at LSU, I worked for Party Pics in Baton Rouge, taking pictures for Fraternity and Sorority parties, and taking posed glamor shots of students. After LSU, I attended NSU where I continued my studies in Photojournalism, and worked for the school newspaper & yearbook, where I won awards for my innovative photography, including "Picture of the Year".

Since leaving college, I've done wedding photography, advertising photography, corporate photography, portrait photography, and concert photography, as well as taking thousands of pictures of my family, including my 3 precious grand children. I also enjoy and taking storm photos when time, nature and my wife allows me. .

Unrelated to photography, I also obtained my EMT license and have worked in the ER of two hospitals, as well as volunteering with my local fire department's EMS unit.

Now I'm spending my time photographing weddings, and high school seniors, as well as doing family portraiture and working with models to help them put together their model portfolios.
